GOVERNING BODIES

The FIM International Coordinating Committee (ICC) is composed of representatives from Regional Ecumenical Organizations (REOs), the World Student Christian Federation, the World Council of Churches and former Frontier interns. It meets every three years to evaluate the program, discern new issues and frontiers and approve overall policies. ICC members assist the director in identifying potential projects and candidates, and provide advise and companionship to interns in the field. The ICC also evaluates and elects the director of the program, and the officers.

The officers (two co-chairpersons, one honorary treasurer) work closely with the director for reviewing on-going internships, screening new projects and candidates and supervising general administration of the programme. The FIM officers meet twice annually.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
FIM has one full-time director in Geneva. The director has overall responsibility for the management of the program, including financial administration, fund-raising, production of narrative and financial reports, promotional resources and interpretation of the program to the supporting community. The director is in charge of the communications/relationships with interns and sending and receiving communities, as well as of identifying potential projects and candidates within the priorities set by the ICC.

The current officers are Charlotte Venema (Co-Chair, Reformed, The Netherlands), Horacio Mesones (Methodist, Co-Chair, Uruguay), Kwame Labi (Orthodox, Honorary Treasurer, Ghana). They were re-elected for a second term at the ICC meeting held in Solo, Indonesia, in 2004 and will hold office until the next ICC meeting in 2007. Manuel Quintero (Presbyterian, Cuba) was elected in 2004 to a four-year term starting in February 2005.
